AFRAM was part of the team with URS to provide construction management services for the construction of a new 60 MGD capacity wastewater pump station. The work included civil sitework, including vibrocompaction, excavation, dewatering, and backfilling; fine grading; paving; drainage improvements; and connections to existing wastewater conveyance facilities. It also covered structural and architectural improvements; process mechanical improvements; installation of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems; HVAC systems; painting and special coating systems; and equipment start-up and testing services. AFRAM was part of the URS construction management team to provide peer reviews for civil and mechanical design, documentation, and constructability review, review of the engineer’s opinion of cost, and implementing a project management information system.
