AFRAM Corporation was part of the team led by URS Corporation on the Missouri River Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements located in Maryland Heights in North St. Louis County, Missouri. AFRAM was part of the team responsible for the development of the conceptual cost estimate based on preliminary site plans and sketches, managed the coordination of meetings with the design team, identified the goals and strategy for each estimating stage, and followed MSD pricing and procedures for equipment and instrumentation. AFRAM also supplied the inspectors that monitored the contractor’s progress of work during its construction.
Work included
- Demolition and new construction of influent pump station
- Construction of Gas Cleaning Chlorination Building
- Construction of three Aeration Basins and removal/construction of new clarifiers
- Loading Dock
- Construction of new Maintenance Building
- Demolition and new construction of site piping and entrance roads
