The project is located in the Grand Glaize Creek Watershed in the City of Town and Country. The general area extends from Thornhill Drive along Nettlecreek Drive. The project consists of the replacement of approximately 1,500 feet of 10-inch diameter pipe with 18-inch diameter pipe, including 15 house connections and 6 trapped street inlets. The majority of the existing pipe consisted almost entirely of vitrified clay pipe that was in very poor condition. Careful attention to technical coordination was required to address the impact on subsurface utilities as well as landscaped features. AFRAM Corporation coordinated reviews and approvals with all affected regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over the site.
