Sanitary Relief and Lift Station
For the City of Fenton, AFRAM designed 2,000 feet of sanitary relief sewer and a lift station for an existing neighborhood that had been served by septic tanks.

01 Project summary
- Construction Cost: $85,000,000
- Project Fee: $101,300
- Original Design Schedule: Nine (9) months
For the City of Fenton, AFRAM designed 2,000 feet of sanitary relief sewer and a lift station for an existing neighborhood that had been served by septic tanks. The construction utilized boring techniques for some sections to avoid disturbing sensitive utilities and to address poor soil conditions that were unsuitable for normal cut-and-fill procedures. Prior to design, a feasibility study was conducted to analyze the options of installing multiple lift stations with force mains versus constructing extra-deep gravity flow lines.
